I was born in Ukraine and soon moved to Israel. After high school I decided to study in the United States. I received my B.A. from Illinois Wesleyan University, under Dr. Amanda Vicary. I received my PhD from New Mexico State University under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Marks. I conduct research in three main areas: a) gender inequality, with a focus on the sexual double standard b) sexual health behavior, and c) sexual assault. I am also interested in media effects on people’s perceptions, attitudes and behaviors.
In my spare time I enjoy reading books, dancing and spending time with my family and friends.
